Patricia Burrows
Co-Founder Patricia Burrows, LCSW, has worked as a psychiatric social worker in private practice in New York City and Westport, CT, for the past 35 years. Her work is based on the teachings of Heinz Kohut and Donald Winnicott, emphasizing the development of a strong sense of self and healthy interpersonal relationships through the use of active listening and empathic, mirroring responses. She strongly believes that once learned, these skills can be used and taught by anyone-students, teachers, parents and administrators-as a way of stopping anti-social behaviors before they start. Patricia was active in the founding of LiveKind and is now available, as needed, as a consultant. |
